Aoi Matsuri Festival in Kyoto
Aoi Matsuri Festival was held today.
It was supposed to be on May 15, but because of the bad weather, it was postponed.
According to Japan-Guide.com, it is a historical parade from Heian Period.
It is one of Kyoto's three most famous festivals along with the Gion Matsuri in July and Jidai Matsuri in October.
It starts from Kyoto Imperial Palace and heads to Kamo Shrines, Shimogamo Shrine and Kamigamo Shrine in Heian period clothing and with ox carts.
